We are grateful to Kim, Barbara and Jerry for the donation of the ride tickets for our Saturday children. The children really enjoyed them. One of the children when his family received them said "we didn't have any money now we can go on rides". We were also blessed to be able to give tokens for food for some of our guests. The smiles on the faces were priceless. Praise God. Amen...

For Father's Day we are collecting items for a "ditty bag" for each of our Saturday male guests. If you are able please consider donating any of the following, disposable razors, shaving cream, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, white socks size 13 and paper wrapped candies. Please bring these to the S.H.A.R.E table before each Mass on Sunday June 13 or to the PC by June 16.

Angels do walk amongst us just look in the mirror and around you, they don't always were halos or have wings they do the kind acts that you do for their brother's and sisters and strangers without recognition or fanfare.

Thank you Spanish Eucharistic Ministry for the sandwiches and oranges. A shout out of appreciation to our servers, Socorro, Jazmin, Sebastian, Michel, Nadia, Natalie, Ashley, Alberta. the Warrior Family and the two families for the donations of their time and talents with the prep. serving and clean up. You are touching the spirit of our guests and providing hope to them by your presence each week they know you care about them.

God bless you Gunther Family and Mary Just for being the angels who answered our request for the donation of ride tickets for the Festival for our Saturday Children. You put the smiles and sparkle on so many little faces.

If you have coloring books, crayons and table games that we can give to our Saturday's children for their summer break from school. please bring them to the PC office. They need not be new just useable and have all the pieces for a game or puzzle.

We have quite a few dates coming up where no one is scheduled to donate the sandwiches for our guests on Saturday. Please note the OPEN DATES at the beginning of S.H.A.R.E. and call Margie 323-935-8127 if you would like to donate any part of the 160 meat sandwiches or 80 desserts.

Thank you Yvonne S, Rachel J. and Bonnie M. for the donation of sandwiches for our guests. We are grateful to Azalie for baking the Mini Bundt Cakes for our Mothers, Yolanda, Tiarra, Socorro, Sebastian, Jamin and their friend, Maria, Sophia, Ivan, Angie , Mr and Mrs. Escobar and Natalie for preparing and serving the meal, gifts and flowers for our guests and adding that extra special touch for the Moms.

Mr. Rincon brought produce and roses and an angel donated vases and candles and candle holders. Our Moms were touched and they sent their love and hugs through the servers to you all. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We will not serve our guests during the festival weekend. We are asking those who are able to please purchase extra ride and food tickets to donate for our Saturday children and families. Some of these beautiful children don't seem to smile. It would be great to see them smiling and having fun during the festival. If you are able to donate a ticket or two please leave them in the PC Office with S.H.A.R.E. on the envelope.

Please hold the clothing donation we will post a date in early June for you to bring.

May God who provides for all our needs bless you and those you love and hold dear with ENOUGH for your days journey.

Thank you Eucharistic Ministry members for the donation of sandwiches, water and fruit for our guests. Linda F and her family continue to donate the sheet cakes on the last Saturday of each month. Our guests look forward to this as they celebrate birthdays and whatever's that has occurred during the month that they feel they want to celebrate. We are grateful to Linda and her family for their generosity.

Azalie, Yolanda and her daughter Tiara, Maria and her daughter Sophia, Lourdes and her Mom and sister, Michael and Natalie and her Nephew Ashley gave their time to reach out to prep and serve the meal to our guests. It is so inspiring to see families working together to reach out and touch someone who is need. Praise God for directing their path in our direction each week.

Mother's Day is next week. If you or your club / ministry would like to donate cosmetics or something for our ladies please wrap them and drop them off at the PC during the week. We serve about 24 ladies each Saturday.

When you purchase your ride tickets for the festival if you are able please pick up extra to donate for our Saturday children. Also if you are able please donate food tickets for the families.

Thank you for caring and sharing with our guests each week. You have touched them and given them hope.

Thank you Pastoral Council members for donating the entire meal for our guests. A special appreciation and gratitude to Azalie, Yolanda, Vanessa, Maria, Sophia, Socorro and her children for preparing and serving the meal for our guests. Truly it does take everybody donating their time, talent and treasure for us to reach out and share with our guest each week. God is good He moves us to give what we are able to. For some it is buying the needed donations for others it's coming weekly to donate their time to insure our guests are served with love and respect and others donating and sharing their gifts and talents by making special treats and items for our guests and when called upon baking for our bake sales. It's all of us doing what we can "something".
Our Parish will be celebrating the Annual Spring Festival the weekend of May 21, 22, 23, if we all remember"everybody can do something" and we pool and donate our time, talent and treasure we will make this church fundraiser a huge success. Ask God to guide you on how and what you can/will donate this year.   OH YES WE CAN ALL WORK TOGETHER TO PROVIDE FOR THE NEEDS OF OUR CHURCH.

Thank you Eucharistic Ministry for the donation for the meal.

This year we are hoping to prepare for and serve 2000 guests dinner in our hall on Christmas Day. This may seem like a lot but if you look at how many in our community who are in need, lonely or who just need a spirit filled place to be to celebrate the birthday of Jesus, this a not a lot. We know that this will only be possible by the grace and blessings of God and through your support by your donation of your time, talent and treasure. Your time, by asking God in prayer to abundantly bless us with guests and enough food for their body and spiritual nourishment to reach out and touch their souls in his name by our example of faith through our works,

Time to wrap a gift or sort clothing. Come share in the day on Christmas. Everyone cannot serve a dinner to our guests but gosh there are so many ways you touch a guests and leave your imprints on their heart and soul at the dinner.

Talent, cook or carve a turkey, cook rice, toast bread, bake a favor cake or pie, Help decorate the hall . Wash a pot or two. We need you to share your talent with us.

Treasure ,if you are so blessed that you can donate some of the listed items that we need to serve our 2000 guests or make a monetary donation, praise God. Please make your check payable to Sr. Agatha with S.H.A.R.E. in the memo and place in an envelope marked S.H.A.R.E. Ministry. It will not be credited to S.H.A.R.E. without being in a envelope marked S.H.A.R.E..

Every body can join us in making this Christmas Day an awesome celebration of the birthday of Jesus.

We are dedicating this Christmas Day Dinner in honor and memory of Jean Guelpa and Mildred Collins. Jean who started the Adopt a family and Angel Tree and who not only fought to have our weekly S.H.A.R.E. program reinstated at St,. Agatha she also served weekly until her health prevented her from serving then she donated.

And our dear beloved sister Mildred who was our fist ever St. Agatha Senior Queen. She wrapped gifts from the day we stared at 10 AM to Christmas morning and then stayed all day and served the desserts. She'd go home and come back with that special box we needed, Mildred never said no when asked to serve. You wanna bet she;s pulling God's sleeve and saying " Lord please give them what they need ".

The sign up sheets are out. The flyers are ready. All we need is YOU! Don't pass that hungry stranger on the street give them a flyer, it just might be God you know. Test giving your smile away this Christmas season

We"re in the hall December 18-24, 10A-6PM and Christmas Day 7AM- clean up.

I pray that God gives that gentle touch that Mildred has asked for this Christ season to you..

Thank you Celeste, the Confirmation class, Geraldine, Allerga, Maria Diaz, Jan, Jack who is 4 years old and his family, The SVDP Society, Rosemary Crump and Mr. Rincon for providing the meal for our Saturday guests. Thank you to all the youth volunteers for sharing their time each Saturday . A very special Thank you to Steven who is Jean Guelpa's 5 year old nephew and her niece Jennifer for seeing to it that our children guests had Easter Baskets filled to the brim with goodies.

St. Agatha's Hands Are Reaching Everywhere and hands are reaching back with love, encouragement and support for our outreach ministry. So many have lifted S.H.A.R.E. up in prayer, given monetary donations, supplies and time. You have not only given and touched our guests and ministry with hope, your kind acts and deeds are an inspiration to others who hear and read about your deeds.

Please continue to do acts of kindness each day. YES, we can make kindness contagious!!! Give away that smile again this week and watch your investment grow. Who's spirit has been raised by the smile of a stranger? Talk to each other about it. Do give back and pass on your blessings.

Holiday Boutique and Christmas Dinner

Thank you for reaching out to share with our Saturday guests each week. These are difficult times for most of our guests and they need to feel that they are not forgotten. Your donations to the meal and volunteering not only feeds their body it uplifts their spirits and gives them hope. Every week they lift you up in prayer before we start to serve.

The Holiday Boutique is November 23, 8am-2pm in the Herbert Johnson Hall. This fundraiser supports the Free Christmas Day Dinner and the Sat, S.H.A.R.E. program during the year. We need your support if we are to continue our outreach to the community. Please consider making a donation to the St. Agatha Table or the Silent Auction. If you are not able to do this please help us spread the word by passing out flyers and inviting people to come and support the Boutique. Please call 323-935-8127 to volunteer to help.

Thank you Sophia Berkeley and the Celebration of Education Gathering 2008 for the back to school celebration and the back packs filled with school supplies for all of our school age Sat. guests.. The parents are grateful for your caring and generosity to their children and your encouragement and support in getting their children off to a great school year.

It's wonderful that so many of you participated in helping our school age guests have some outfits and shoes to wear to school. The children were excited to pick out what they wanted and the parents were appreciative of your thoughtfulness.. If you could please consider donating new white knee high socks for the girls and regular white socks for the boys and bring them on Sunday August 31 to the hall after all masses. ( the children are 5-16 years old) We will distribute on Sat. Sept. 7. to the children.

Application for the 2008 Holiday Boutique will be mailed out this week. If you would like to participate please call the PC Office 323-935-8127 to request a copy of the guidelines.

We need 60 additional meat sandwiches and 40 additional desserts each week. To volunteer please call the PC Office.

School Clothing for Children

We are collecting used school clothing for children ages 5-16 on Sat. August 16 from 9am-12pm in the PC Patio area. Due to limited storage space we can only accept the clothing on this date.

If anyone has a man's bike that you would like to donate that is in usable condition or needs minor repairs please call the P C Office and leave a message for Margie.

Saturday August 23 we need someone to volunteer to provide the meal. The meal consist of 140 meat sandwiches and dessert for 70. Please call the office if you, your ministry or family would like to volunteer.

Transportation Aid

S.H.A.R.E. will be distributing discount coupon for bus riders and Seniors age 62+ who meet the income eligibility on Sunday August 9, 2008 in the hall following all the masses. Please bring proof of your income to apply for the discount coupons. Beginning August 25, 2008 we will include coupons for children K-12 grade and college and vocational school students who do not receive a subsidy from the school. Please come to the hall for further information.

This week please visit by phone a home bound church member, family member, co worker or friend. They really enjoy being thought of and remembered. You don't have to talk long just an hello I was thinking about you, how you doing visit will do.

Our Saturday guests continue to thank you in pray for preparing and sharing the meal with them each week.

We are in need of used clean wearable clothing and shoes for our school age guests 5-16 years of age. These will be given out beginning Saturday August 16, 2008. Please bring your donations on Saturday August 16, 2008 9AM-12 PM to the PC patio area. Because of limited storage space, we ask that the clothing only be brought on the date and time requested.

Weekend Update

Thank you Rachel Juarez for donating the entire meal and the Quinceañera girls for helping on Saturday June 28. The other opened calendar dates have been filled by Azalie Nickleberry, the youth group, and the quinceañeras, thank you Adriana.

We have an increase in the number of guests that we serve on Saturdays and the number of people that ring the door bell in need of food and asking for work. We are attempting to fill their needs of food but the food runs out quickly with serving so many. We do realize that some of us in the parish too have felt the blow of this economy with the down sizing of jobs, the rise in the cost of gas, food, clothing and shelter. If we could pool are resources perhaps we can help our guests and one another weather this storm. A few of you can remember when we did this before how we reached out and shared with one another in our parish community. If we are to all survive in this economy we may need to go back to old neighborly ways. "sharing-" SHARE would like to stock the pantry shelves with canned and dry goods for anyone who is interested. Please, if you can help out in any way, donating from food to grocery gift cards, from gas card to bus tokens, from fruits to canned goods, please bring it to the PC Office and let them know that your giving a donation to SHARE.

Thank you and Reminder

Thank you Sharon Williams and Juan Rincon for their continued weekly donations of bottled water and fresh produce for our Sat. guests.

The last Saturday of each month we would like to have a sheet cake donated that will serve 60. Our guests have special blessings that occur for them during the month and we would like to honor and celebrate their blessings with a cake once a month. If anyone is interested please contact Margie Nickleberry.

Each summer the volunteers on Saturdays seem to drop off. Please check the bulletin boards at both church entrances for your ministries date to serve and then check with your ministry leader as to how you can serve. We prep the meal 2-4 PM in the PC and serve 4-5 PM in the Grotto Parking Lot.

Anyone interested in serving with the S.H.A.R.E. MINISTRY on the ANNUAL S.H.A.R.E. HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE 2008 , (Sunday November 23, 2008) AND /OR CHRISTMAS DAY DINNER 2008 , please contact Margie Nickleberry by July 15, 2008 for the meeting date, time and location.

Please if your budget allows start collecting toiletry items and catch some of the clearance sales. These items will be used for gifts for the guests during the Christmas Day Dinner. .
